How to avoid travel sickness in car

Factors aggravating the travel sickness in cars

You might simply have the travel sickness but we all know these factors do increase your problem in a car:
  • Sitting in the rear side seats with a blocked front view
  • Sitting in the rear seats of an non spacious vehicle
  • Sitting in the third row of seats in a 7-seater or 8-seater vehicle
  • Fast driving
  • Repeated brakes, sudden deceleration
  • Mountain roads, curves
  • Bumpy uneven roads
  • Badly suspended small cars that keep shaking
  • SUV's and cars with a lesser wheelbase
  • Large vehicles which body keeps "floating"
  • ​Etc., etc.

Tip to avoid travel sickness : Ginger

A simple technique consists of swallowing a couple of ginger pills 1 or 2 hours before a long trip. 
This is not a medical advice, my family members with travel sickness simply do so and it works well in our mountainous Mediterranean country.
I still drive slowly on turns and downhill while the person with travel sickness sits on the front seat or the rear middle seat.
